Take
a cruise back in time, to the days when there were no roads
north of Old Forge and steamboats carried people and goods to
the camps and inns along the beautiful shores of the Fulton
Chain of Lakes.
Magnificent views of the Central Adirondack mountains and lakes,
camps, flora and fauna
you can only see from the water.
Today,
there are still no roads around the Fulton Chain of Lakes that provide the
panoramic Adirondack views you'll enjoy from the decks of the
Clearwater or Uncas, modern vessels modeled and named after
two of the most famous early 20th century Fulton Chain steamers.
Or be a part of Adirondack living history on one of the longest-running fresh water mail routes
in the country as the Captain ably steers the President Harrison up to camp
docks and the deckhand makes the daily mail delivery.
